Hey everyone,
Just a quick newsletter. This week I’ve been quite busy. I started my university course (the unit is Global Social Policy) and had my first ever Zoom seminar! It was… interesting, both literally and sarcastically. It’s a shame that there doesn’t seem to be any chance that we will have campus classes because it would be great to actually meet some of my fellow students properly. But otherwise, the topic is great and our teacher is a font of knowledge and experience.
I’ve also been driving more. I drove the car for someone else’s errand and it is gradually starting to feel less like running a gauntlet. I even had a moment where I could imagine doing it alone.
The rest of the week has been consumed by writing. I got commissioned to write for a proper publication! And I have this newsletter to thank. More news about this when it’s out.
Because I haven’t had much time to go down rabbit holes this week, I will just share a couple of things I found in passing.
I’m quite excited by this one. Finally, the YouTube algorithm recommended a Sydneysider who makes videos on food around the city. Here’s her video on where to find some of the most authentic Hong Kong treats in Sydney:
I’ve shared this channel a couple times before, but I thought this topic might interest y’all. How COVID-19 broke the airline pricing model (he’s obsessed with aviation):
Today is WEAR IT PURPLE day — helping to advocate for young LGBTQIA+ people;
and this made me laugh so much — An Oral History Of The Cursed ‘Simpsons’ Themed Rock Eisteddfod
Until next week,
Have a good one!
